SamLyd Holdings LLC runs Court Rally. This explains what the app holds, where it goes, and what you can do about it. It describes how the app actually behaves, not what a template says.
Children
Court Rally is for players of any age, and when the player is a child this section matters most. A parent or guardian creates the account and enters the child's details; children do not sign up themselves. For every player — adult or child — we collect the minimum a training app needs: typically a first name, a birth year, playing hand, and what they did in practice. We do not ask for a child's address, phone number, school, or precise location, and we show no advertising to anyone.
As the account holder you can see, correct, export or delete everything about your players at any time, from the Account tab or by writing to us.
What we hold
- Account: your email address and an encrypted password. Coaches also store a display name, club and bio, which families can search.
- Player profile: name, birth year, playing hand, chosen sports, and any association IDs and ratings you enter.
- Training: which blocks were completed, timers, scores, how sessions felt, and your notes.
- Plans: the weeks generated for you, changes made to them, and why.
- Conversations: messages between a family and a connected coach, review requests, and plan proposals.
- Media: photos, clips and files you attach to a conversation, and the video clips you film for stroke analysis.
Video, specifically
A clip you film for stroke analysis is analysed on your device: the app extracts a small number of still frames, and only those frames are sent for the coaching read. The video itself is saved to your account in private storage, so you can replay it on any device you sign in on. Nobody else can open it — access rules allow the account that filmed it, and a coach only once you share that clip with them or ask them to review it. Deleting the analysis deletes the video with it.
Location, specifically
“Near me” searches read your location once, use it for that one search, and do not store it — no table anywhere holds a family's coordinates. The reading is rounded to roughly a kilometre before it leaves your device, so an exact position is never sent at all, and the app asks Android only for coarse location. A ZIP you type is used the same way. A coach who sets “where I teach” publishes an area, not an address, rounded the same way. Courts pinned by users are public places by definition and carry the coordinates of the pin, not of any person.
Reporting and blocking
If you report a conversation, the report includes the last few messages in it, so that a person at Court Rally can see what you are reporting — a report about a message somebody then deletes would otherwise be unreviewable. Staff read reports; the person you report is never told who reported them. Blocking someone ends the connection and is not announced to them either. Neither reporting nor blocking deletes anything the other person holds, and clearing a conversation hides it only from your own side.
Who processes it
- Supabase — database, accounts and file storage, protected by per-row access rules so one account cannot read another's data.
- Vercel — hosting and delivery of the app.
- Anthropic — generates plans and stroke feedback from the text and still frames sent for that purpose. It is not used to train their models.
- Rating providers — when you enter an association ID, that ID is sent to that association's public lookup to fetch the rating.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and there is no third-party analytics or tracking product in the app. We do keep our own count of which pages are opened, on our own servers and never connected to your account — the Cookies page explains it and has a one-tap switch to turn it off.
How long
We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting your account removes your account, profiles, plans, training records, conversations and uploaded media. Backups age out on their own cycle. Anything a coach separately recorded outside the app is beyond our reach.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the use of your data, and to complain to a regulator. The app already gives you the first four; for anything else write to support@courtrally.fun and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access rules are enforced by the database rather than only by the app, so a coach without a live connection cannot read a player's data even if they hold an old link. No system is perfect; tell us at once if something looks wrong.
Where data is held
Our processors operate in the United States and elsewhere. Using Court Rally involves transferring your data to those countries.
Changes
If we change this materially we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
