Court Rally stores things on your device. Almost all of it is necessary to make the app work. There is no advertising and no third-party tracking of any kind — no Google Analytics, no pixels, no ad networks. The one thing that is not strictly necessary is our own visitor count, and you can switch it off at the bottom of this page.
What is stored, and why
- Sign-in session — kept in local storage by our authentication provider so you stay signed in between visits. Clearing it signs you out.
- Your training data — profiles, plans, scores, notes and drafts are held locally so the app works without a connection, and synced to your account when you are online.
- Filmed clips — held in the browser's IndexedDB so you can replay them. They stay on the device unless you ask a coach to review one.
- Preferences — the sport you last selected, and whether you have seen the introduction.
- Offline cache — a service worker keeps a copy of the app itself so it opens without a connection.
- Visitor count — a random string that lets us tell 40 visits apart from 40 people. See below.
- Where you came from — if you arrived from a link with a campaign tag (a club poster, a partner, a post), the tag and the site that sent you are kept until you create an account, so we know which of our efforts brought people in. Nothing personal is in it.
Counting visits
We keep a count of which pages are opened, so we know whether anyone is finding the app. It runs on our own servers — no other company is involved and nothing leaves them. What is recorded is the page address, where the link came from if it was another site, and a random string stored on your device that means nothing anywhere else. It is never connected to your account, so we cannot tell which pages a particular person read. Anything after a “?” in the address is thrown away before it is stored, and counts are deleted after twelve months.
What we do not use
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No third-party trackers, pixels, analytics services or social plugins.
- No cross-site profiling of you or your child.
- Nothing that connects what you read to who you are.
Clearing it
Signing out removes your account data from the device. Clearing site data in your browser settings removes everything, including cached clips — anything already synced to your account will return when you sign in again. Deleting your account removes it from our servers as well; see the Privacy Policy.
Don't count me
One tap, and this browser stops being counted. Nothing else about the app changes. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal we honour it without being asked.
If that changes
If we ever add something that reaches further than this — a third-party service, or anything tied to your account — we will ask for your consent first and give you a way to refuse without losing the app.
